About The Event
Join VTF-Sunrise and the Ohio No-Till Council for a day dedicated to learning, collaboration, and conversations around soil health and conservation.
Healthy soil is the foundation of productive agriculture. This event plans to bring together students, educators, farmers, and agricultural professionals to explore the practices, technology, and research shaping the future of soil management.
Throughout the day, attendees will experience hands-on demonstrations, real-world examples, and conversations with agriculture professionals focused on improving soil health and supporting long-term farm success.
Two Experiences. One Focus: Better Soil.
MORNING SESSION: FFA Soil Health Experience + Soil Judging Practice
8:30 AM - 1:00 PM
Designed for local FFA chapters and agriculture students, the morning session provides hands-on learning opportunities focused on soil science, conservation, and modern farming practices.
Students will explore:

Regenerative Agriculture

Learn how practices like cover crops, no-till, and improved soil management impact soil health.

Monitoring Soil Health

See soil health indicators in action through hands-on demonstrations and real-world examples.

Soil Pit & Practice Judging

Work alongside agriculture professionals to evaluate soil profiles and practice FFA Soil Judging skills.

Students will also hear from agriculture professionals about careers and opportunities within the industry.

AFTERNOON SESSION: Farmer & Customer Learning Event
4:30 PM - 6:30 PM
Farmers, VTF-Sunrise customers, and agricultural partners are invited to join us for an evening focused on practical soil health conversations.
